Social Entrepreneur

We provide childcare with a difference.

Role Models is a unique service providing skilled & engaging ad hoc and ongoing part-time childcare.

We want to inspire children to create and learn, whilst having fun at the same time.

Not only do our Role Models have extensive childcare experience but they are also lucky enough to be super talented in at least one of music, arts & crafts, drama, sport or homework (whilst many also come with other talents such as cooking or languages).  What’s more, they all love sharing their passion with children.  Our ongoing Role Models can normally commit to a minimum of 3 months, potentially longer depending on your requirements (e.g. after-school care or full time roles in the holidays).

So what?

This means if your son is a budding tennis player then you can either pick a run-of-the-mill babysitter (who can’t keep up) or we can find an ad hoc or ongoing Role Model who loves playing sport as much as he does!  Similarly, if your daughter enjoys being a drama queen then why not let us match her with a trained performer?

Whether it’s playing the trombone, helping with homework after-school or playing sport we aim to provide a fun Role Model that best suits each family’s requirements.  You can rest assured that they’ll be more impressive than a typical nanny or babysitter.

All our Role Models have been CRB checked, reference checked, interviewed, speak fluent English and have extensive childcare experience. The vast majority are personal recommendations.

Cospa

Oli Barrett MBE is a co-founder of social innovation Cospa, helping companies and causes to create and grow ventures which make money and make a difference. A good example of this is by helping over 2,000 young people to fix their own youth clubs, with Wickes, the DIY chain.

Oli was very friendly and down to earth

He asked plenty of questions so that he fully understood the business, which also showed that he cared and was interested. He focused on the importance of building a community and networking with the right people, which was useful as it's not something we do enough of.
