Social Entrepreneur

We believe that every young person who wants a job should be able to get one.

Too often, young people find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle: they don’t have enough experience to get a job, but can’t develop that experience without having one. At Circle Collective, we want to break that cycle. We believe that young people have a whole lot of enthusiasm, energy, humour and spirit to offer employers. So if what they need is experience, then that’s what we give them.

There are two arms to Circle Collective: a social enterprise retail shop and website, and a training charity. Its aim is to support East London NEETS (young people not in education, employment or training) into sustainable work.

The Circle Collective stocks well-known, fashionable urban brands alongside brands by young designers from East London. It is a shop in Dalston and an online store (circlecollective.org). It trains young designers in business essentials.

The charity provides work-readiness training and work experience for long-term unemployed East Londoners aged 18-24. They spend several weeks undertaking workshops to build their confidence and to help them understand expectations of the workplace.
