"We need to do as much as we can to support, nurture and celebrate the skills and determination of entrepreneurs in this country.
Connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with today's business leaders is vital for knowledge sharing, guidance and growth, so it's fantastic to see Expert Impact driving mentorship and formalising the opportunity.
I hope that this programme encourages more people with a great idea for making a positive social impact to think big and have the will to imagine, start and grow their own business."
Expert Impact provides guidance, insight and support to help the next generation of leaders in the UK's impact economy.
UK entrepreneurs are tackling a wide range of important issues in education, healthcare, arts, science, poverty, and the environment. Guidance from experienced entrepreneurs who've faced similar challenges and have overcome them is invaluable to help these ventures reach their full potential as quickly as possible. Because the experts who want to help are not always connected to those who need them we have created Expert Impact to speed up advances in these critical areas.
Our first program is a 'Human Lending Library' through which entrepreneurs looking for help can 'borrow' successful Expert entrepreneurs to help them solve their challenges and scale fast.
Founders and/or CEOs of ventures tackling issues in our target sectors can apply for an hour-long session with one of our Experts through our website. Our team then screens the applicants and matches them with the Expert we feel is best suited to advise them with their issue.
These sessions take place in a private room at the British Library where the entrepreneurs looking for advice can also avail themselves of the extensive resources provided by the excellent Business and IP Centre.
We could not continue this work without the generosity of our supporters. Our thanks go to the Sackler Foundation.
