How can you find a business mentor?

Anyone who’s run a social venture knows that it’s really, really hard work. Things go wrong. There are unknowns and obstacles, all the time. Your organisation seems to mutate every other month. But you're the boss. You don't have a manager to help you out. Who can you turn to for advice?

Seek out help from people who know what they’re talking about, who have been there and done it, and who can counsel you through the particular challenge at hand. This is the role mentors play; they’re well-informed advisors. They might be an entrepreneur, an executive or an industry expert. Ideally, you’ll have a mix of mentors you can call on.
