Anne is a Non-Executive Director at the On-Pack Recycling Label (OPRL). It is committed to transforming levels of UK recycling by making it easier for consumers to recycle more material, more often.
Previously Anne was CEO of Cafedirect PLC, (£14 million) running the organisation on behalf of small-holder farmers in Africa and Latin America.
Cafedirect reinvests profits into programmes to support farmers and their communities. Examples of these investments included carbon sequestration programmes in South America, provision of energy-efficient stoves to reduce deforestation in Africa and the planting of indigenous trees to improve the level of the water table in tea growing communities in Africa.
Earlier in her career she worked in marketing for Unilever on Comfort, Persil and the Dove brand when she lead the Personal Wash Business Unit. In GSK she was Marketing Director of Ribena, creating the “95% of Britain’s Blackcurrants make it “ campaign, initiating the trend to champion British produce, working in partnership with The Wildlife Trusts to protect biodiversity on British blackcurrant farms and introducing the first 100% recycled plastic bottle in the UK. As a Brand Consultant her work has included an organic milk strategy for Fonterra and work on London 2012.
