Kathryn Parsons

Kathryn is a regular public speaker and campaigns globally for code to be included on curriculums and gender diversity in technology. She successfully campaigned for coding to become mandatory on the UK national curriculum in September 2014.

In 2016 she was appointed Chairwoman of the UK Government Institute of Coding and received an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list.

In 2017 Kathryn joined the Mayor’s London Business Advisory Board, the UK Government Cyber Security Skills Advisory Board and the non-executive board of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Kathryn studied Classics and Cambridge, turning from the languages of the ancients to code and the languages of the digital world.
