London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) is one of London’s largest and most successful charitable social enterprises, operating 39 award-winning nurseries, including some in London’s most disadvantaged areas. We are committed to giving all children access to high quality childcare, and LEYF invests all profits back into the business.

Many of the LEYF nurseries include a mix of children from different socioeconomic backgrounds. This is proven to have a positive effect on the development of all children, but particularly those from poorer backgrounds. Where possible, LEYF employs local staff and recruits apprentices which brings an economic benefit to disadvantaged communities.

Stephen’s understanding of my project need was spot on. I have definitely learnt from this experience especially in regard to change management, the importance of revisiting our original vision and how we measure the success of this project. I really hope we have more opportunities to check in with each other.
