Digital ethics expert
Bill Mew

Bill is a leading global campaigner for digital ethics, focusing on striking the right balance between ‘meaningful protection’ (cybersecurity, privacy, digital ethics, etc) and ‘the maximization of economic and social value’ (AI, cloud, digital transformation, innovation, etc).

At the same time, as CEO of Crisis Team, Bill leads an elite team of experts in incident response, cyber law, reputation management and social influence to help clients minimize the impact of cyber incidents.

He has provided strategic consulting, led issued-based campaigns or contributed strategic thought leadership content for a number of the world’s top global technology brands, including IBM, SAS, Infosys, Snowflake, Kingston Technology, and Huawei. He also appears regularly in the media (BBC, RT, etc) commenting on a range of business and technology stories.

Bill has worked to help bring cases against companies like Facebook, both in the EU high court in support of Max Schrems (the case known as Schrems II), and also as an expert advisor to certain law firms that are bringing large privacy cases in the UK against Facebook and others.
