Nigel served as Chief Executive at The Big Issue Company Limited. He has extensive experience of building and restructuring operational businesses and launching successful, innovative new ventures as well as attracting financial investment and delivering both a financial and social return on investment.

Previous to joining The Big Issue in 1994, he founded three employee owned printing and publishing companies and served as a Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Litho Printer and trade union official. Nigel serves as the Chairman of The Big Issue Company Limited. He trained as a four colour lithographic printer and gained his Diploma at the London College of Communication, (now the University of the Arts), where he was also Chairman of the Board of Governors.
