Katie Derham

Classical broadcaster
Katie Derham

Katie is much in demand as a host of conferences and award ceremonies; her economics degree and early career as a business journalist makes her particularly popular in the business and finance worlds.

One of the UK’s leading broadcasters, Katie spent 15 years of her broadcasting career in news and current affairs, first at the BBC and then as ITV News’ youngest ever newsreader, where her role as anchor meant she covered everything from elections to royal weddings and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

She is also one of BBC Radio 3’s best known voices, regularly presenting A Sequence of Music and has also been the face of the BBC Proms since 2010 and hosts the weekly magazine show Proms Encore every Saturday on BBC2 during the season. Katie also presented for BBC Four’s series of Discovering concert programmes in 2019.

In 2015 Katie’s career took a decidedly glittery direction when she took part in Strictly Come Dancing and reached the final, in 2017 she was crowned Strictly Christmas champion.

“I have booked Katie Derham to host awards for several high profile property events. On each event, she has worked above and beyond what was expected of her as a host and has been an enormous help to the event team and clients. Added to this, she has a great presenting style, brightens up the stage with her presence and audiences love her.”
