Karen Lynch

A versatile speaker equally comfortable delivering keynote speeches, hosting awards ceremonies or facilitating workshops, Karen is an experienced business leader, entrepreneur, and mentor. Authentic, inspirational and energetic, she is one of our more popular speakers who regularly receives glowing feedback from clients.

Karen is a champion of ‘profit with purpose’ whose personal mission is to inspire others that there is a better and kinder way to do business that can help solve some of the world’s problems. She is passionate about demonstrating social enterprise business can operate in the mainstream and compete successfully with traditional business and larger brands.

Following a corporate career in publishing and finance, Karen’s public profile grew as the CEO of bottled water social enterprise Belu. Initially loss making, Karen turned the company around during a decade of leadership, handing over millions of pounds of profits to the charity Water Aid. This helped transform the lives of over 334,000 people through access to clean water and decent toilets.

She is the founder and CEO of Expert Impact Speakers and currently sits on the board of the housing social enterprise Homes For Good, which provides homes for those on low incomes or on benefits.

Equally passionate about sustainability in business, Karen teaches ‘your business, one planet’ on the 10,000 Small Businesses program at Oxford University. Belu was the first (and remains the only) UK drinks business to achieve the independent British Standard Institute’s carbon neutrality standard (PAS 2060).

“This was one of the best expert sessions we have ever had – Karen is a legend! I found discussing money mindset, how to sell value and what to focus on when selling, the most valuable parts of the session.” – ‘Revenue streams and a money mindset’ attendee, Hatch Enterprise.

Karen’s keynote topics include:

  1. Finding your leadership path … and your purpose
  2. Collaborate your way to success
  3. Making your fears your superpower
  4. Sustainability in business models; your business, one planet
