Sandy Lindsay

Sandy started her marketing career 30 years ago and in 2002 launched Tangerine which has become one of the UK’s top performing and most awarded communications agencies.

In 2017, when Tangerine turned 15, fulfilling a promise she made when she first launched the business, Sandy announced Tangerine had become an Employee Owned Partnership with 64% of shares now owned by Tangerine employees.

Sandy is passionate about creating quality career opportunities for young people and has launched and grown several job creation programmes over the years. Her latest – The Juice Academy which is a not for profit social media apprenticeship has created more than 350 roles in leading businesses across the North West.

In 2015 Sandy was awarded an MBE for services to business and young people and was named North West IOD Director of the Year. Beyond her role as Chair of Tangerine, Sandy is a highly respected leader in the North West and holds a wide portfolio of influential leadership positions.

Her NED portfolio includes Northcoders, Flock and the Rugby Football League. She is national Ambassador for Apprenticeships, Vice Chair of Forever Manchester and is on the Business Leadership Council of TeachFirst in the North West. She chairs skills groups for the IoD and the North West Business Leadership Team where she is also Vice Chair. She’s a tech investor … oh and during lockdown, Sandy and her Tangerine Board launched another business – Vine Insights.
